Telephone Fundraiser - Full Time

Hours: Positions of 28 or 35 hours per week

Shifts: Monday to Thursday 12:30 to 20:00, and Friday 10:30 to 1800. Shifts comprise two 3.5 hour calling sessions with a half hour lunch. No weekend or bank holiday working.

Location: Work-from-home

Remuneration:

• Starting rate of £12.60 per hour, with promotional opportunities.

• Experienced fundraisers with at least 2 years of fundraising experience may start at our senior fundraising rate of £13.50 per hour

• Working from home requires a private working space with no noise or interruptions

What does the Telephone Fundraiser role involve?

You will be making outbound telephone calls on behalf of well-known UK and international charities. The core focus is building genuine connections with new and existing supporters and inspiring them to make a financial contribution (a donation or a regular gift). It involves a lot of conversation, rapport-building, and excellent supporter care.

Are there targets in this role?

To maintain the high standards our clients expect, we set achievable targets for positive outcomes and contact rate.

Is previous fundraising experience required?

Experience is welcome but not essential. Return Fundraising, offers a comprehensive training program. Transferable skills from roles like customer service, sales, call centre work, or even performance/acting are often highly valued.

What is the training process like?

Successful candidates undergo a comprehensive training programme. This includes learning about the charities you will be representing, the legal/ethical guidelines for fundraising, and the specific conversation structures. The training also includes all technical support.
